Appointment of Research Supervisors as Joint Internal Examiners andObservers at Oral Examinations for Research Degrees
To approve a recommendation from Research Committee that astudent's research supervisor should not be permitted to act as an Examiner fortheir research degree submission nor be permitted to attend the oralexamination as an Observer.

- To approve the requirement that: the rules for the assessment of Group Workshould be made explicit to students and sufficiently flexible to take intoaccount contributions of individuals where this is appropriate.

- To approve the setting of minimum study requirements for the LoughboroughUniversity Postgraduate Certificate and the Loughborough UniversityPostgraduate Diploma at a total modular weighting of 60 and 120 respectively,in conjunction with the change in modular weighting for Master's programmesfrom 120 to 180 with effect from 1998/99.
